Calamagrostis acutiflora 'Karl Foerster'

Named for the famous German horticulturist, 'Karl Foerster' is the most popular of the feather reed grasses. Its clumping, upright habit and midsummer cinnamon blooms have a striking effect when used as a specimen or in concert with other grasses and perennials. PPA Perennial Plant of the Year, 2001.
c. acutiflora 'Overdam'

Calamagrostis acutiflora 'Overdam'

Birds love ‘Overdam’! Narrow leaves are variegated with deep green and white stripes. Downy pinkish-green flowers appear in mid to late summer and turn golden as the seeds mature, eventually fading to blonde. Choose this variety for mass planting or as a vertical accent in the border. It is easy to grow in average, medium to wet soil.
